Meet Amber

A lifetime of music, shared with purpose.

Music has been at the heart of Amber Pennington’s life since she first stepped onto a stage at six years old.

Over more than four decades, Amber has recorded, traveled, and performed professionally across the country. As a young singer, she became known for performing the National Anthem at NFL and Major League sporting events—including the 1988 National League Baseball Playoff Series. Her musical path has taken her from Texas to Tennessee and onto stages ranging from intimate listening rooms to the legendary Bluebird Cafe.

After attending South Plains College, Amber moved to Nashville, worked with the Country Music Association, and contributed session vocals for songwriters. Since returning to Lubbock in 2010, she has continued performing throughout West Texas, including several years as a featured vocalist at the Cactus Theater. Her versatility allows her to move naturally through country, pop, classic rock, blues, and the songs that hold personal meaning.

Amber began teaching in 2012 and opened Amber Pennington Music in 2018, bringing a lifetime of real-world musical experience into every lesson. Her individualized approach pairs healthy technique with encouragement, confidence, and authenticity—helping students grow into their own voices rather than imitate someone else’s.

Whether she is guiding a student, singing in the studio, or performing for an audience, Amber’s purpose remains the same: to share music honestly, connect meaningfully, and help every voice be heard.
